Triangle Capital (TCAP) Triangle Capital Corporation is a public investment firm specializing in buyouts, change of control transactions, acquisitions, growth financing, and recapitalizations in lower middle market companies. Earnings were +53% and sales +64% in the recent quarter. Stock just broke above its 200-day moving average on 1/7/09.

Emergent Biosolutions (EBS) saw earnings increase +240%, sales +30%. Big reversal day on Friday.

Ensign Group (ENSG)* Recent breakout from a cup-with-a-handle pattern and is pulling back to test the breakout. Stock has had double-digit earnings and sales growth last 4 quarters. The Ensign Group, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides nursing and rehabilitative care services in California, Arizona, Texas, Washington, Utah, and Idaho. It offers nursing and assisted living services; physical, occupational, and speech therapies; and other rehabilitative and healthcare services for long-term residents and short-stay rehabilitation patients.

NCI (NCIT) provides information technology services and solutions. It engages in designing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading secure information technology systems and networks. Five year earnings growth has been 23%. Return on equity is 17%. Group strength is also strong.

Aerovironment (AVAV) recently broke out of a cup and handle pattern. The company designs, develops, and produces unmanned aircraft systems and efficient energy systems for various industries and governmental agencies.

Genoptix (GXDX) Genoptix, Inc. provides specialized laboratory service that focus on delivering customized and collaborative diagnostic services. The company has experienced triple digit earnings last 3 quarters (+325%, +100%, +136%). Sales also very strong (+109%, +98%, +98%). Stock is currently working on a base and is above the 200-day moving price average.

Vascular Solutions (VASC)* had a V shaped recovery off of the November lows and needs more time. They are a medical device company, develops solutions to interventional cardiologists and radiologists in the United States and internationally. Earnings were +300% and sales +18% in the most recent quarter.

Life Partner Holdings (LPHI)* operates as a financial services company that provides purchasing services for life settlements in the United States. The company facilitates life settlement transactions by identifying, examining, and purchasing the policies as an agent. Its financial transactions involve the purchase of life insurance policies at a discount to their face value for investment purposes.

Cubist Pharmaceuticals (CBST)* engages in the research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceutical products that address medical needs in the acute care environment in the Untied States, the European Union, Argentina, Canada, India, Israel, Korea, and Taiwan. The company focuses on developing products for the anti-infective marketplace. On a weekly chart the stock is forming a base-on-top-of-base pattern.

China Sky One Medical (CSKI) engages in the development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of over-the-counter nutritional supplements and herb based pharmaceutical and medicinal products primarily in the People's Republic of China.

Aecom Technology Corporation* (ACM) provides professional technical and management support services to government and commercial clients worldwide. Its Professional Technical segment delivers planning, consulting, architectural and engineering design, and program and construction management services. This segment provides its services for a range of projects, including highways, airports, bridges, mass transit systems, government and commercial buildings, water and wastewater facilities, and power transmission and distribution.
